Jaclyn Mackenzie

I obtained my Bachelor of Arts (with Distinction) from Western University in 2010, where I was awarded the University Gold Medal for graduating with the highest academic standing in my degree program. I subsequently received my Juris Doctor from the Faculty of Law at Queen’s University in 2013, where I was awarded the Nicholas Bala Award for Student Excellence and the Community Commitment Award.

My interest in family law began in law school when I volunteered for the Family Law Clinic, assisting self-represented litigants with drafting court forms. During my final year, I worked simultaneously as the Director of the Queen’s Family Law Clinic and as a Research Assistant.

After graduating from law school in 2013, I completed my articles at a family law firm. I have practiced family law and child protection law exclusively since I was called to the Ontario Bar in 2014. In 2018, I opened Mackenzie Family Law PC. My practice focuses on custody/decision-making, access/parenting time, child support, cases with Children's Aid Societies, and enforcement cases with the Family Responsibility Office.
