Jaclyn Mackenzie

I obtained my Bachelor of Arts (with Distinction) from Western University in 2010, where I was awarded the University Gold Medal for graduating with the highest academic standing in my degree program.

I subsequently received my Juris Doctor from the Faculty of Law at Queen’s University in 2013. While in law school, I volunteered for the Family Law Clinic, assisting self-represented litigants with drafting court forms. During my final year, I worked simultaneously as the Director of the Queen’s Family Law Clinic and as a Research Assistant. At graduation, I was awarded the Nicholas Bala Award for Student Excellence and the Community Commitment Award.

After graduating from law school in 2013, I completed my articles and I was called to the Ontario Bar in 2014.

After working at a boutique family law firm for several years,  I opened Mackenzie Family Law PC in 2018. My practice focuses on helping parties negotiate agreements and obtain court orders for decision-making responsibilities,  parenting time, child support, and restraining orders. A large part of my practice is dedicated to child protection law, where I assist parties who have cases with Children's Aid Societies.
